About us
PRACHT, founded in 1923, is still family-owned and currently managed by Jonathan Pracht being the fourth generation. It is one of the leading international manufacturers of luminaires with a high protection class (up to IPX9K) for special applications. The headquarter of the medium-sized family business is located in Buchenau, about 100 km north of Frankfurt / Main in Germany, where the majority of the luminaires is manufactured.
The focus is on back-of-house lighting, where PRACHT offers real spec locker solutions for challenging environments with e.g. high humidity, extreme conditions, such as very high temperatures, chemical gases and oils or mechanical impacts. The portfolio is completed by ex-proof ATEX luminaires “made in Germany”.
Top quality, efficiency, innovation and holistic sustainability are among the most important factors in the PRACHT DNA. The aim is to provide efficient, fast and safe solutions for all areas of application. PRACHT luminaires have a long life time as their primary development goal, as well as reliable, trouble-free and low-maintenance operation, so that every detail -even in a rough ambience- remains clearly visible. PRACHT thus fulfils one of the top priorities in industry: production must never come to a standstill!
Over the years, the company has developed in every respect. PRACHT has not only established its own research institute, also known as PIT – PRACHT INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY, but also its own plastics production, where plastic parts, including those made from recycled materials, are produced in-house.
The sustainable range and the variety of products are characterised by high quality, recycled material and adaptability. PRACHT offers 4 categories leading from simple light for every day use (ECO Line) via light for professionals (BASIC LINE) to light for the extremes (PRO LINE). ONE Connect , a system to combine different luminaires to fit the special needs, completes the range. In any sector PRACHT presents a completely revised and expanded full range of damp-proof spec locking back-of-house solutions.
